I am visiting Tallin for 1 day as part of a cruise with 2 children aged 10 and 12. What would you recomend we do and see?

Depends on their interests and personalities (restless or studious), but the young people I%26#39;ve visited Tallinn have been happy with the usual tourist stroll around the Old Town, the viewing platforms on Toompea Hill and such. Lunch at Ye Olde Hansa (medieval theme restaurant) should entertain them.

There aren%26#39;t alot of specifically kid related activities in Tallinn. They might like Kalev water park (it is indoors) in addition to the highlights John the Finn has mentioned.

Don%26#39;t know how your timing is but the children may be interested in the Estonian Open Air Museum. It%26#39;s on the edge of Tallinn. See

Again for future reference. Nice place to visit with children is Estonian Healthcare museum because there you can do a lot of fun things like:
measure your height, your weight, the fat content of your body, your blood pressure, the volume of your lungs, your reaction time, the height of your jumps!
They have unfortunately lousy webpage but you will get some basic information from there www.tervishoiumuuseum.ee/index.php…
The experience there is much better than the webpage :)
