I%26#39;ve been looking things up but I can%26#39;t find out how much Tallin is on average to holiday in?
I live in the UK and am wondering how it fares compared to our exchange rate?
How are the drinks, meals etc?
Thank you for any help!

Everyone complains that Tallinn is expensive but compared to other places I have been in Europe lately (Stockholm, Helsinki) it seems a bargain. It is probably most comparable to Prague. You can get a very nice hotel room for about $100-$150 US, you can eat at a decent restaurant for $12-$20 per person. Drinks are I think the most expensive item...$5-$7 for a beer. (Hope this helps...sorry I dont know the prices in British pounds)

But if you are budget traveller then you can find here accomodation for 30-40 EUR dbl room. If you make little walk around old town then you can find beer for 2 - 2,5 EUR and normal lunch you can get for 4-6 EUR.
But it means that you need to do some little research first... Near the town hall square are prices highest...

You don%26#39;t say where abouts in England you live so that will affect any comparisons with UK prices.
I live in Essex and work in London and when went to Tallin last September we found food and drink prices to be generally 15%-20% cheaper than the UK. If however you want to treat yourself to a more special meal you will save more money.
Bus and tram travel is very cheap.

I could say Tallinn is a cheap place to be in. Of course you have to pay if you´re going to finest restaurants, but if you want to live on a tight budget, everything will become quite cheap. Food for example costs only little over a half of the prices of Finland.
