Hi,
I%26#39;m heading to Tallinn in January, and I was wondering how much money to budget for expenses - transport, entry fees, food etc. My accommodation is already arranged and paid for.
Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

Depending on your style etc I%26#39;d guess you could get by with $60-70 a day, much more if you eat/drink out, less if your accommodation includes breakfast that you can load up on!
Tallinn a year ago before the financial crisis was definitely cheaper than Scandinavia overall (which is very expensive) - the economic conditions might have lowered prices further and you may get off-season rates too, the exchange rate of $AU for Kroonis is a bit better for us as well at the moment. Many attractions were either free or low cost. And being quite compact, you can walk most places rather than taxi or even bus/tram (these last are not expensive either). January weather permitting (?), you can walk easily around the old town and even over to the ferry terminal or to Kadriorg Palace and park (in fact walking through the old timber house area is interesting in itself). The Old Town restaurants and nosheries were mostly tourist-trap pricey, but you can of course get yourself food %26amp; drink from a close-by supermarket if you like.

Thank you so much for your response. I have arranged self catering accommodation, so I%26#39;m hoping to be able to cut down on the eating out costs.
Here%26#39;s for a strong Australian dollar in the next few months!
