How much should one plan for taxi fare from the cruise ship dock to the overview at Toompea?

Unless you have a dissability it is walkable. Just look towards the town spires and let your feet follow your eyes.

I agree with Jackie, it%26#39;s easily walkable and you%26#39;ll get to orientate yourself via the Old Town. Enjoy - it%26#39;s a lovely place.

well, depending on the taxi company, one way trip should be from 75 to 100 kroons. the taxi from the port is more likely to be 100. part of the old town is pedestrian, so the car will most probably make small detour.
if you decide to walk - it will take you appr 20-30 minutes.

Which port does your cruise ship dock? If it%26#39;s one of the ports outside of the city limits, then it will cost about 300 eek, but from the regular Terminal D the fare to the old town gates will be upwards of 100. (The taxis from the port don%26#39;t usually move for less).

Oravad makes a good point about the taxis there not moving for less than 100. Taxis rates can vary here...I%26#39;ve had them with base rates between 35 and 45 usually but I%26#39;ve had the same distance cost me 50 kroons and almost 80 kroons with about the same amount of traffic (just because the rates were more) so be sure you know the rates and the estimated cost before you get in.
