Using cash in Tallinn

As I am travelling not just in Tallinn, but also Prague %26amp; throughout Italy over a 4 week period - I%26#39;m hoping to be able to use euros as often as possible. Can I use euros easily in shops / cafes / restaurants in Tallinn, or do I need EEK?

This was just discussed recently and can be found at tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g274958-i996-k2817…

The Estonian crown is the only currency universally accepted. You can easily use a credit card even for small purchases, though, so the amount of cash you need will not be great.

OK, thanks for that. Will look at the earlier posts.

Just a warning though, some of the cabs here in Tallinn do not take credit card (even some that say they do will give you a hard time about it) so you do need to bring some cash. Oh and just a tip for Prague...it is even more difficult to get a cab that takes CC and their shuttles to town from the airport do not take credit either so you definitely need to have some Czech cash available unless you have arranged transport through your hotel.

Thanks for tip! I%26#39;ll certainly have some local currency, so I won%26#39;t get caught out.

I%26#39;m heading there this week. There are ATM%26#39;s at the airport. I%26#39;ve always got my money there (enough to get started anyway).

Yes, I will do that. Thanks
