Summer holiday in Estonia (Tallin - Pärnu?)

I am going to Estonia and Latvia this summer with my husband and daughter (2 years). My husband is going to a car race in Riga, so we will be travelling with large car trailer.

We will take the Ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn. Then I think we will spend 4-5 days in Estonia, then pass the border to Latvia, most likely by the cost and then we will be moving towards Riga.

I have been to Pärnu once, about ten years ago. I think that wout be a great area to spend a few days, but I am open to other suggestions.

Do you have any tips for places to stay? We need somewhere with parking space. If ther are any cabin rentals or similar along the way, or nice motels, that would be great.

Any advice?

Hey:)

Question is when you exactly plan to come - if beginning of July then I still suggest to spend one day in Tallinn and go to singing festival... If some other time then it is quite reasonable to move forward...

1-2 day you could spend also in haapsalu... It is also very nice place and not so touristical as Pärnu... www.haapsalu.ee/index.php… you can read more about this beautiful city...

If you are coming to Pärnu then you have two choises - stay in city or find nice camping outside city and just visit main beach, city center etc. Coiche depends of purpose of visit - if you want see as much as possible then staying in city can be reasonable... But if you want more enjoy beach and just relax then maybe outside it would be reasonable...

There is place called valgeranna - 10 km towards Haapsalu... ANd there is at least two places to stay - unfortunately I can%26#39;t find info from web but as much as I remember then there were signs out :) And Valgeranna is my favourite beach in Pärnu - not so crowded, really nice sand and just somehow cosy:)

Of course you have to visit Pärnu main beach... Even if you don%26#39;t want to take sun there then just eat some lunch in Rannakohvik what is located in the beach and has big windows and also balcony (unfortunately it is quite tricky to get free seat in balcony but you never know...)

Have a nice trip!

And I wanted to give this link also http://www.maaturism.ee/index.php?lang=en - there is quite a lot information about places outside of big cities...

Thank you so much! We will arrive in Tallin 27th of July and we have to be in Riga the 4th of August. We will mainly be relaxing, going to the beach, find some nice places for our daughter, but we also would like to see a few attractions when we are there.

You might consider the island of Saaremaa and its main town Kuressaar as an alternative to Pärnu. It%26#39;s only slightly off your track and has many rural attractions.
