Where to buy CDs in Tallinn?

Hello Estonia,

I%26#39;ll be visiting Tallinn soon and I want to buy CDs of Estonian music - not folk but contemporary rock, pop, jazz. I already have, thanks to research on Youtube, a list of bands and singers I like. So where in central Tallinn can I find a shop with a good assortment of music CDs?

Kaubamaja%26#39;s (main department store) Digi-world department has a decent selection.

Thank you! Where exactly is that store? (I assume it is huge and impossible to miss as soon as you are in the city, but I have never been to Tallinn, so appologies for this maybe dumb question...)

It is large, covering a couple of blocks - your easiest entry to it is through Viru Keskus mall, which is attached to the Sokos Viru Hotel. These are both on Hobujaama street, which is very close to the centre Old Town gates on Viru Street.

The city bus station is in the basement, if that helps, and mostly all buses end up here from different parts of Tallinn.

Yes it%26#39;s just around the corner, well more like just across a few pedestrian crossings! Nice location, and great hotel!

Hotel wasn%26#39;t my choice but there is someone in our group who knows Tallinn a *little* better than I do;-) Good to hear she picked a good ancd convenient place to stay. I am looking forward to visiting your country; we will be going to Tartu as well, by the way.

Oravad, thank you again for pointing me to the right direction. I did not reach the department store, though, because I discovered that CD store %26quot;Lasering%26quot; in the Viru shopping mall on the way, and I got a pile of CDs there. Just returned home, I%26#39;m now listening to them one by one. It%26#39;s Rolf Junior in my CD player right now...

Glad you found that shop, they have good deals there, especially on movies. I often go in there, I don%26#39;t know why I forgot to mention it!
