Struggling to book restaurant for New Year, please help

Hi,

We will be in Tallinn at New Year, our first visit there.

We have already contacted a few restaurants to try and book for New Year%26#39;s Eve, but all are booked up :-(

We%26#39;ve tried:

Maikrahv

Sisalik

Black Sheep

plus one other which I%26#39;ve forgotten.

Can anyone recommend some other good ones to try, as we%26#39;re starting to get worried now. Ideally we fancied one of the medieval style ones, but anywhere that has a good reputation (and availability!) would be great.

Many thanks.

I sorry to say that I did mention this on the forum about 2 months ago.....

Please try the following website:

I know Troika the Russian restaurant was available.

The problem is that restaurants sell there restaurants to Russian groups coming over to Tallinn for new years eve.

Send me a message if you have a problem booking, and I will try to help you

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I%26#39;m not a regular on here so I wouldn%26#39;t have seen your post a few months ago. I wish we had known! I mean, obviously it will be busy at New Year, but to find that everywhere will be either closed or completely booked up is a shock.

I will have a look at that link at lunchtime - thanks again.

Thank you so much for the Troika suggestion. They have now got back to us to say that they have availability :-)

What sort of place is this? The website is nice, but it is hard to tell what kind of atmosphere somewhere will have just by looking.

If it is a good place to go for New Year I think we will book up.

The place is nice and I am sure you will have a nice time.

|||

been to troika and I would def go there.It has a large russian influance and is down in a cellar and is well orth going.Sure they had russian dancer on the night we went and alot of vodaka!

|||

That sounds like good fun.. watch else we%26#39;ll all be dashing over.!! Hope you have a FAB time.. please report back...

Hi again,

Unfortunately Troika have now told us that they don%26#39;t have any veggie food. There is a veggie starter, but no veggie main course!! So looks like we will have to keep looking - which is a shame as it sounded really really good.

We also had yesterday a reply back from a restaurant called Pegasus. They look like a really nice place, and they have availability and also veggie food.

However, the menu they sent over shows a cost of £115 per person!!! Surely this cannot be right? We don%26#39;t mind paying extra for new year, but this is rather excessive.

|||

Bride to Be.. did you ask at troikas whether you could have the veggie starter as a main...... if it sounds ideal place to go.. compromise?

|||

Hi,

Yes I did ask, as it actually sounded like a delicious starter. But they were less than helpful unfortunately :-(

I realise there is less veggie choice than in some places, but I%26#39;m not fussy, so long as there is *something* veggie then that%26#39;s fine. But so far the only one with availability and veggie food, seems to be £115 per head which is quite extreme!

I agree thats far too much money no maTTER HOW GOOD...whoops...

Maybe you could email someone there at troika... Did the person you spoke to speak reasonable english?
