TAYA.... please can you tell me if anything like this is happening whilst we%26#39;re out the in March..5th - 8th Many thanks

Hello, unfortunately during the March no folk events like Old Town days in Tallinn. But you can visit Estonian Open Air Museum. It presents a unique collection of old Estonian buildings on a 79-hectare expanse of seaside land. Farm buildings, windmills and water mills from various periods and regions have been brought together here. Folk holidays are celebrated in traditional style at the museum, and often folk dance and music can be enjoyed here.

Hi Taya! Thanx for your reply to my question about folk entertainment in June. We have now changed our mind and are thinking of going to Tallin late April/early May! Typical!!!! Your reply to another member about the Open air museum looks very interesting so I will probably go there. What I was also interested in was local dance/singing in a venue such as a restaurant or bar (not the stag type places!!) as I am very much interested in local customs etc and am half Ukrainian and did lots of dance as a child. Could you offer any more ideas or places to go? Thanks very much.

You can read more about Estonian Open Air museum on www.evm.ee.

St. George´s Day Fair (handicrafts and farm goods sold on the streets of Old Town) will take place in

April 18–19.

If you are not in Tallinn during this days do not worry. Old Town of Tallinn is full of history. You can explore it by yourself, take part in one of the official city excursions or use a personal guide service.

Traditional Estonian style restaurants are Kolu Kõrts (Vabaõhumuusemi tee 12) on Open Air Museum teritory, Talukõrts (Viru 18, Old Town), Vanaema juures (Rataskaevu 10).
