My girlfriend and I are lookign to travel to Europe for a single week in late October/early November, but we don%26#39;t have a ton of money. But I know that%26#39;s no excuse to let a dream die, so does anyone have any ideas? I%26#39;ve looked at multiple %26quot;Top 10 Budget Travel in Europe%26quot; lists, and many mention places I%26#39;ve briefly heard of, if at all. One of these places is Tallinn, which sounds breathtaking. Another is Vilnius. I%26#39;ve cosidered splittling a week between the two (possibly allowing for a day or two more in Tallinn), but also wanted to get any other ideas people may have considering budget travel in and around Europe. Though the above options sound pretty nice to me, I%26#39;d also like to know of any other options I have--I%26#39;ve read about Budapest, Bucharest, Prague, Krakow, Barcelona, etc.--the choices seem dizzying, and I want to insure I fill every day with the utmost, while still having enough money to do the little things. Any thoughts are welcome and appreciated - thanks!
P.S. We%26#39;re more interested in local coffee shops and bakeries, museums, etc. than we are bars and night clubs, if that helps.

Also, we%26#39;re considering Istanbul - please incorporate your thoughts on this city when discussing your opinions - thanks again!!

If you come to Estonia, then there is many more places becides of Tallinn. Tallinn is of course the biggest city here, where you can find museums like Open Air museum etc., but I think, you should visit also Kuressaare in Saaremaa andHaapsalu. They are small and beautiful cities with their peaceful life. Also in Estonia here are many castles, some of them are more destructed, some less and you can find the best of them in Kuressaare and Haapsalu. And else, if you decide to come here at the beginning of October, then you should watch weather report. Some autumns are very beautiful and colden, but some are rainy and wet. If the weather is not good, then you don%26#39;t get a good feeling here and then is better to come next year in spring or summer.

I had a great budget weekend to amsterdam last easter. Great architecture and hostels can be really cheap although read reviews first because some can be a bit dodgy. If you want to try something more adventurous then I suggest checking out the iron roads in the alps, these are an awesome cheap and safe way to experience the alps. for information on this check out %26#39;trifter.com/Practical-Travel/Budget-Travel/T…%26#39;
