one week visit

My travel plans for late Aug. just changed and I find myself in Estonia for a week in late August. I will not have a car and I wonder if anyone has suggestions as to day trips that are available by public transport. Or maybe there are small interesting tour companies that you would recommend? I don%26#39;t like to do typical touristy things with masses of people. Prefer walking, hiking in natural areas, visiting medieval villages, doing wine tastings, that sort of thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,j

Some off-the-beaten-track ideas would be bog-walk or canoeing.

This is not the full list, but may give an idea what is out there. I have been to Soomaa and on the small islands with the 360 degrees team and are very happy with the experience. The webpage of the 360 degrees team is not fully translates but they do speak english and you may just contact them directly to ask what is awailable during the time you will be in Estonia.

hi j,

I could help you planning incentive day trips out of town. Day trips to small islands like Aegna, Naissaar, Kihnu; canoeing, fishing, beaver safari, floating sauna, jeep safary, tour by bike, adventure park in Nõmme, where are five trails and 55 bridges or attractions in total, including fast decendings on rope rail; photo hunt etc (if more people)...

with best,

J

Hi Jaana, thanks for your reply. Sounds interesting but I%26#39;m not traveling with a group. If you have any advice for the single traveler, I%26#39;d be appreciative.

thanks,j
