First visit to Tallin - how to get there, airlines etc

Hi.

I%26#39;m thinking of going there in Sept 2008 and would like to know the best (and reasonable) airline from Scotland (either Edinburgh or Glasgow. Also, any places I can visit apart from Tallin on a 5 day visit?

Thanks.

I%26#39;m not sure off your ist question..coming from Australia but we recently visited Tallinn and hired a car and visited Parnu, Haapsalu and Saaremaa Island. We stayed at George Ots Spa Hotel in Kuressaare which was fab. Parnu is definetly worth a visit, its a lovely seaside village. Haapsalu is also a quaint seaside town close to Tallinn.

Buses depart regularly from Tallinn TO Haapsalu and Parnu. You can catch a ferry across to Saaremaa Island.

Mari - may I suggest that in the other search box - next to where it says tallinn forum - you type in Flights from Scotland..... there is a thread - started Nov 21st by a guy called froach40.. same question -near enough as you i think... well regarding flights anyway.. might be worth emailing him to see how he got on??

Good Luck and hope you have a great time....we%26#39;re visiting for the 1st time in march...

Having best friends there I try to visit every year on one of my European trips. I always use CSA Czech Airlines.

I have read on a couple threads, that others fly with CSA, also, and they say the fare is usually cheaper than other airlines. And the Prague airport is a very passenger-friendly airport. Connections are easily made.
