A weekend in Tallinn??

Hi,

I posted this message on another forum and they suggested Tallinn - am after some opinions on whether it would be the right place to go. Thanks

I%26#39;m having a non-age specific birthday in September this year (who I am kidding it has an 0 on the end but I%26#39;m not saying it outloud or it might come true!!!) and am trying to organise a weekend away with my friends to celebrate / commiserate it.

I%26#39;ve been looking online for cities to visit in Europe and someone on here suggested Tallinn. I was just wondering if anyone thinks it will be a good place to go for us.

There will probably be between 6 and 12 of us age between 27 and 35. We like shopping, drinking and the odd bit of site seeing.

If you don%26#39;t think its the best place for us any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Cathy

tallinn is by far the best place ive been, i would say try and getting there in the summer tho. only 3 hours of darkness, falling out many of the nightclubs, 24hour bars and it still being light!!!

the estonians are brilliant(try and avoid the russians tho, their proper mardy). not the cheapest, roughly the same as england!!

I%26#39;m from Helsinki, Finland, 60 km from Tallinn. Both Helsinki and Tallinn are great for partying, but not at their best in September... unless you do not mind the weather that might be rainy and a bit chilly.

From May until August it is great: light nights, birds singing and the sun shining when you come from from the night-club... and again in the winter with snow, candles, christmas lights... How about somewhere more South, like Nice in September?

After visiting it in April, I%26#39;d say it%26#39;s a perfect place for celebrating your birthday! We loved the Old City with lots of restaurants and pubs, I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;d love it too!
