Hi! Has anyone stayed here?? How far away is it from the port where the Helsinki boat comes in?
Also what was your room and the breakfast like?
Thanks all!

Hello,
The guest house is in the old town. good location
15mins/20mins walk from harbour to old town.
If getting a taxi ask for gloria restaurant as they will not know gloria guesthouse. same building/location and owners.
Rustic guesthouse furniture in rooms, aged would be the correct way to describe the rooms. dont know how the breakfast was, sorry

Fantastic thanks for the info.
I%26#39;m not actually looking to be there till mid-end of Jan 2009... but i thought i would get in early about my planning as i am doing a month long trip through Scandinavia with my boyfriend who hasnt been before - but i have travelled quite extensively through the region... so bascailly i am looking for places to stay which are quite unqiue, not overly pricey... and definetly very cosy as its going to be nice and cold!
Is there anywhere else you would reccommend? The same price or cheaper.

I am going off-topic here but if you are including Stockholm as part of the Scandinavian trip, there are several hostels on boats morred within easy walk of the main city area - waking up and looking out a port hole is definitely something different and they are no more expensive than a regular hostel.

Thanks for that Dev, Last night i was reading about the hostel that is in an old prison.. are you familiar with this?
