I need to get from Amsterdam to Munich and then Munich to Prague. Purchasing a multi-city ticket or 2 1 way tickets is much more expensive than buying 2 separate roundtrip tickets.
I called Lufthansa to ask what would happen if I purchased a roundtrip ticket and only flew 1 way and they said if I did not return thy would charge me the full fare of a 1 way ticket. Can they do that? They also said they would cancel out the second part of the ticket but that%26#39;s the part I don%26#39;t need so I don%26#39;t care if they do that. The ticket agent also told me it is illegal to do that but I have been reading online that is the best way to get a cheap 1 way fare.
Can anyone please give any guidance on what the rules are for purchasing a roundtrip and only flying 1 way? I am looking at flying Lufthansa from Amsterdam to Munich and Czech airlies from Munich to Prague. Also, does anyone know if Czech Arilines is a good airline?
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks!
