I%26#39;ll be in Tallinn on the 24th of August and would like to attend service at a Lutheran church in town. I%26#39;m a practicing Episcopalian (Anglican).
We love having visitors (especially foreign travelers) show up at our church in the States, but I%26#39;m not sure if that%26#39;s how it is in Estonia, especially in some of the larger historic churches in Tallinn.
Is it generally OK for tourists to attend worship? If not in the historic churches, could you recommend a good Lutheran church in the Tallinn area where I could stop by?

There are Anglican services in English at Püha Vaimu kirik (Church of the Holy Spirit), a superb medieval building just off the Town Hall Square in the Old Town. They%26#39;re on Sunday, I think at 2 p.m. - I%26#39;ll check it for you.
I%26#39;m sure it will be a great experience for you. I%26#39;ve always wanted to worship there but never been in the right place at the right time.
All baptized Christians are welcome at these services, and of course you will fit right in there. Generally there is no problem between us Anglicans and the Lutherans - in fact, over in the Nordic countries (I%26#39;m in Finland) we have an agreement with the Lutheran church that is little short of a merger, and our Anglican services are often conducted by Lutheran priests. This agreement doesn%26#39;t cover Estonia but the differences in traditions are small.
