Visit to a Working Farm?

I am doing an organized trip to Tallinn, Helsinki, and StPetersburg in September, and I may have an extra day or two in Tallinn. I grew up on a farm and would be interested in touring a working farm in Estonia, is that type of tour available in Estonia? I saw some %26quot;farmstays%26quot; listed in an accomodations section of an Estonia Travel web-site, but they seemed more like just B%26amp;B%26#39;s or apartments for rent in the countryside.

I would be interested in either something that could be done as a day-trip from Tallinn, or either a short overnight trip, where I would leave Tallinn, spend one night on the farm and then return to Tallinn?

hi

%26quot;farmstays%26quot; don%26#39;t usually mention if they just offer accommodation or run a bigger farm. Most places have something - grown their own vegetables etc.

However, there are some places that combione both - working farm (usually specialized) and tourism. Lauri-Antsu ecological farm (L-A öko-turisimitalu in Estonian) near Haapsalu, Tamme farm%26#39;s herb garden (Tamme talu ürdiaed), Mokko farm (Mokko talu) in Central- Estonia specializes in sheep and horses.

But I am not sure any of them make specialized tours.

To make a quick visit - Esko farm just outside of Tallinn specializes in dairy products. As far as I know, it is a populat place to buy yoghurt and cottage cheese from. It%26#39;s not a regular tourist place.

Well, you could contact people at www.maaturism.ee They%26#39;re supposed to have the best database.

And regarding your other post. As far as I know, there is no train connection btw St Petersburg and Tallinn. Only bus.
