Are there beaches in Estonia that people go to in the summer? If so, where are the best/most popular ones? I%26#39;m going from May-July and I%26#39;m from Florida US so I need to know if there are any good beaches.

Pärnu has some decent sandy beaches, which is one reason the city is known as the summer capital of Estonia. There are some small beaches in Tallinn, popular with locals.
I%26#39;m afraid someone from Florida is not likely to be impressed with Estonia%26#39;s beaches, though. And beach weather doesn%26#39;t happen every day.

On my most recent visit last June, a friend from Tallinn and I went to a local beach. The wind was soooooo blustery and it was soooooo cool, that even he couldn%26#39;t handle it.

Sheesh. I went to Florida once and it rained. Does that mean it always rains in Florida?

Hi,
there are 3 beaches in Tallinn.
1. Pirita, 3 km from the citycentre, most popular
2. Stroomi, also 3 km from teh citycentre- its more a russian beach, but the city has done a very good job with this beach now- its a nice place now.
3. Kakumäe- its 10 km from teh city, a little beach.
In EStonia we have many small beaches , but the sea is not very warm like in Florida and we usually have 20-30 good days in a year to go to the beach.. BUt if the weather is good, beaches are crowded..
