modern hotel or old town old in Tallinn

Hi,

I travel alot on business, and am undecided ´if to stay in a big modern hotel or an old town hotel..

The prices seem to be the same really, with all the discounts hotels our offering now.... I presume the credit crunch is making it better for us.

I will be coming to tallinn on a regular basis for the next year, if things move on in the right direction

Thoughts Anyone

Hi,

you cant loose- both can be good. Old towns hotels are small , historical old nice buildings and its maybe more personal.

Many modern hotels are very-very close to oldtown and i prefer them. (Viru Sokos, Nordic Forum, Tallink, Metropol, Palace). They are easier to reach and maybe have more life..

And my best regards to my dear London..

Totally up to you. Tallinn is full of hidden gems. Besides, the city centre is so small you can easily walk from one end to the other in 15 minutes.

If you want to stay in the midst of the hustle and bustle, try one of the hotels in the Old Town. As a rule, they are all newly furbished and modern with wireless internet access. They also have more character than the typical business chain hotels offer.

My favourites: St. Olav, Barons, Telegraaf, Three Sisters, Baltic Imperial. All very cute and cosy.
