New Zealand in January

Just looking and can get cheap airfares to new zealand around 15/1/09 to 25/1/09.

My husband, 20yo daughter and 14yo son also travelling. Was thinking of a campervan but we like to travel in style. Would like to see as much as possible. Daughter and son like to do adventurous stuff. Can anyone advise where to start? Which airport to fly into and would accomodation be hard to source at this time of year. Also temperatures to expect. Or should we just fly somewhere and do tours from there? We would like to know the most cost effective way to travel around in such a short time. Or are we dreaming?

We cannot get away for any longer than this.

10 days is very short! I would recommend concentrating on teh south island for the dramatic scenery. try space cars rather than caravan for driving aroudn as the roads can be anarrow and windy. you will love it!
