living in New Zealand

Hi,

I%26#39;ve been offered a job in Auckland, New Zealand. i would like to know the following (i live in the UK):

1- tax on salary seems to be very high, even higher than the UK.is this true?

2- do they have something like the NHS (free medical care, free dentish care etc).

3- do they have council tax?

4- i%26#39;ve heard that cars are more expensive in NZ than in the UK.

i probably be there for about 1yr and would love to hear from anyone who have moved from the Uk to NZ.
