I arrive in Tallinn next wednesday and am bringing my GSM phone which works in Europe. Does anyone know where I can buy a local SIM chip with talk time in Tallinn? thanks, j

Hi

In %26quot;Viru Keskus%26quot; which is a large shopping centre right behind the Viru hotel next to the Old Town there are two or three mobile phone shops. We usually buy an Elisa sim for about 50 EEKs but there are several others. It only costs the equivalent of 3p (6 cents) to send a text message back to England.

You can also buy them at kiosks which are dotted round the town. The only difference is that in the shopping centre you will probably be served by an English speaking young person with a smile, whereas at the kiosk often the opposite is true.

Have a good holiday
