how cn i rent a car in talinn or helsinki or even st petersburg( one way would be best) to travel on along the baltic and end and drop off in germany or poland?

You may google %26quot;rent a car Tallinn%26quot; or %26quot;autorent%26quot; which stants for rent-a-car in estonian and contact some of them asking for their offers.

you would have to use one of the big branded companies.
I dont think you can use a rent a car through russian border or belarus borders but i could be wrong. The reason for this is that you have to show the passport of the car.
I would recommend that you speak to your local hertz, budget, avis, alamo, dollar etc
So if you are starting off in Russia st pete, I would pick-up a rental car i.e. from Tallinn, cheaper than helsinki.

If you prefer only well known brands as AVIS,Budget, Sixt, Dollar and ready to pay triple then it is ok to use them. But only the one company in Baltics called Transporent which offer at list triple smaller prices comparing to famous brands and possibility to rent a car and drive it in whole EU free of charge and in Russia(Kaliningrad)for an additional fee.
