Hello all. I am going to Estonia for work for 3 months this Summer.
What are the %26quot;must see/must do%26quot; sights, activities in Estonia, particularly Tallinn? And is Saaraemaa worth a side trip?

Hi,
lets try..
1. Go to Sightseeing tour by special bus.
2. Try to go to opera or Ballet to Estonia Theatre, www.opera.ee (its pretty cheap)
3. Visit The Open Air museum (Sightseeing bus goes there also)
4. Visit Estonian History Museum on Pirita road (cheap and intresting)
5. Walk in the Oldtown (its big and you can spend there many days, discovering new all the time)
6. If you like art, visit KUMU, artmuseum (i dont like it, but many people do)
7. Go tp Kadriorg, to visit park and see Presidents castle.
If you are here 3 months you will find friends who can recommend more and give tips about pubs and restaurants.
Yes, Saaremaa is worth to visit, also Hiiumaa and south-Estonia. For that tarvelling its good if you have a car and guide. Or just go to some smalltown by bus: Haapsalu, Tartu, Pärnu.. or even to Riga. Bus-info is www.bussireisid.ee

Saaremaa is most certainly worth a visit. See the recent meteor crater at Kaali (only a few millennia old and an awesome sight) and the astonishing castle in Kuressaare. The smaller island of Muhu (joined to Saaremaa by a causeway) is also worth a day.
The other must-see city in addition to Tallinn is Tartu.

Thanks for the tips! I appreciate the info!

Hi! I%26#39;m born in Haapsalu and I say...you must go to Saaremaa, You will see something you can not find-see here in USA. Most exotic is Muhu. Also I recommend have stop In Haapsalu, maybe spend a night at Päeva Villa - http://www.paevavilla.ee/index.php - See Historic Castle.
