I have been back to Tallinn this august for a one day visit from Helsinki (where I was based for a week). I discovered a fantastic view of the city from top of the church OLEVISTE. You have to climb up on a steep stairs way (this is not something to recommend though to those suffering from heart problems or other illnessess), up to a platform standing at 60 meters above the ground. The view is great from there, better than any other view in the city (I know quite a few other places with a view, but in my opinion OLEVISTE KIRIKU beats them all). I think this is definetevely something to try, the cost is only 2 euros (30 estonians krowns).
When I was outside on the paltform, I felt vertigos not from looking downward, but rather from looking upwards, as the top of the church stand another 63,7 meters above the platform. Then, I thought above the brave people who actually built that church at the time, risking their life every day they were up there. We%26#39;re lucky to live nowdays, with all our comforts and security.
I hope the platform will remain open long enough for people to be able to enjoy it.

Nice view indeed (and a good picture). Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
